Soldier Children in Democratic Republic of Congo

Many children are forced by Lord's Resistance Army to integrate in the army and to fight. Others come from poor families and look for money to survival. They are both victims and authors of the deadliest war in Dr. Congo.

The mysterious crazy man

A year ago, in kinshasa, a forthy year old mental patient succeeded to escape from a retarded camp called CNPP. The hospital security was quickly alerted to catch him but it was late. Fifty minutes later, an hospital security guard who was around saw the patient saving a young woman who was about to be drowned in the river. After saving her, he took her toward the back of the camp. When the guard saw that act from him, he said:"Oh, after several year of treatment, you are cured so you can leave the hospital now, and you are a heroes." Then, the guard looked around and asked the retarded man: "But where is this person you just saved?" The retarded answered that he was at the back of the hospital. The guard went to see that person and he found her dead hung on a branch of a tree. He was shocked by what he saw and said to the crazy man: " You are a good person but some people don't want to live anymore; that person commited a suicide." Then, the retarded man said: " No, that person is not dead, I just hung her on this tree to dry because she is wet." Guess the end...

By looking this world I see A world filled of conflict, injustice and inegality A world where everything crack and move A world where in a corner, the child belong to the street A world where the hatred emerges A world without love or compassion How can children belong to the street? Don't they have family? It is difficult to understand But it is true Street is their only home These innocent and fragile creatures Their futtures are uncertain But they have life as only richess What do they do to deserve that situation LIfe is so strange some people are happy and other people unhappy The common thing we all still unsatisfied

What do you dream to become in the future? Most of student go to shool just for to satisfy their parents or to accompany their friends without having any goal in their lives. the dream can have several meanings, for example, what you saw during your sleep. But it is not what i am talking about. it is rather your objectif for the future life. Since i was a child, I always liked to become like my father or even more than he accomplished in his career. He is like a great model for my life. I chose the college of Bussiness because it will help me to achieve my dream of becoming a big banker and to work in some economic branches.

Having a plan is like carrying with yourself a map in order to find your destination. You cannot choose a major just by pleasure or even because your friends chose that. It is your life and you must decide what to do with that but with making wise decisions. Some people are like eternal childre, they never grow up mentally they just depend on other people's decisions. For example, your mother tell you to become a doctor and you accept it without thinking if you will be able to do and to love this kind of study. We are all intelligent but each person has a gift that he or she would like to develop in a specific field.

I always liked to be a banker in big banks like the World Bank and to be a boss myself. I mean to occupy the great function and to control the functionment of the enterprise. Bankers are really needed in different fields because they are especially in accounting, which is very important for the enterprise in order to evaluate its financial balance. I can also do my personal business excluding my function of banker. For example, I would like to create my own company of construction because my home country is poor and need the infrastructures to facilitate the national and international commerce in order to increase the economy of my country, Democratic Republic of Congo. With this kind of business i will get lots money, relationships with powerful people, experiences about world economic because everything we do, except God's assistance of course, we also need mmoney; and economy means money.

In addition, the College of Business is one of the best college in the universities because it gives students the chance to evolve in many fields in order to be well prepared for the professional world. For example, with degree from Business College on my hands, I will be able to work not only in banks but also in medicine field. For example, because in the hospital the service of administration needs people who are good in finances to make the inventory for the good functionment of the hospital.

In short, I will say as my mother always said to me " Si tu as une carte de destination, tu sauras ou tu vas", which means if you have a map you will know or even find your destination. As students, we must have a plan that will help us to get our goals for our lives in order to avoid losing our ways. My goal is to become a banker and also to work in economic branches like the administrationservice in the hospital; and my plan is to finish my studies in the Business College to catch my dream. Your future depends on what you decide now; and everything is possible to who believe in.
